Auto generation of profiles

New features allow building most difficult elements automatically, as it is difficult to configure them manually. It helps to create moldings, toe-kicks or an upstand for worktops fast and properly and calculate their cost precisely.

Building of molding

When a user creates a kitchen project, moldings are generated by the system in such a way that redundant elements are cut out where cabinets adjoin. As a result, the joint angle of moldings changes, forming a solid element of regular shape. If adjoining cabinets have different depth, the molding of a deeper cabinet adapts to the molding of a more shallow cabinet and connects to it correctly.

Additionally it is possible to adjust the height of a molding. For that it is necessary to select or enter manually the required height. In cases when we place cabinets up to the floor during the installation work, this function helps to fill the gap.

Building of a tow-kick

Toe-kick for bottom cabinets is built in a similar way with due regard to all joint angles. First of all, we select a material. It can be aluminium or PVC with an option to set a separate color. For aluminium it’s allowed to select smooth or corrugated texture. It is also possible to apply the same material for the toe-kick as for the façade or cabinet body.
Optionally we can configure the height of a toe-kick. For free standing or end cabinets the toe-kick is visualized from every visible side. For adjoining cabinets only the front side of a toe-kick is shown and the traces of joints disappear. All the joint angles are counted when calculating the cost.

Besides this, it is possible to select an option without the toe-kick, where cabinet legs are visible. In the menu there is a wide range of models available for users to choose from. Furthermore, you can celect to show either all cabinet legs in a project or only the ones which are within sight. Hidden legs remain black, while those visible get chrome-finished.

Building of an upstand for worktops

For adjoining cabinets worktops and upstand join together as well, while joint angles are displayed in detail. When moving a cabinet away from the wall, its upstand disappears automatically. When placing a cabinet towards the wall or next to a larder a back or side upstand shows up correspondingly. If an upstand is not required, you can configure in the system not to show it when placing a cabinet next to another one.

Cost estimation of profiles

For all these elements there is the opportunity to automatically estimate the cost. In the section Project information there is a tab Shopping cart, where all the price details are available. We can calculate materials by linear meters. If required the system can round off prices. Profile angles, for instance, can be calculated per item. Consequently, moldings, toe-kick and upsatnd can be not only visualized, but also accurately priced.
